Positive covid

Tanisha

I found out Friday I was positive for the virus (covid) but it seems like I had it around the 3rd of September which I thought was a normal cold and was bed for 2 days, they say count 10 days from when the symptoms started showing so we counted it from the 3rd but I’m finding it hard atm as my daughter whose two keeps wanting me/clinging to me. I don’t want to be around her as I don’t want her to get sick etc, my partner was negative on his test which he had Thursday. I’ve been in my bedroom for two days, I did ring the covid helpline and she said I have two days left in isolation so tomorrow would be the last day.

I was just wondering if any other parent has suffered with the virus?? How they dealt with it with young children

I just did it like i always did. They tested positive too though. We just took our vitamins (if youre anemic like me then take your iron every day!) And vit c for the kids and we lived our life. Nothing special just because of covid. We were lazier than normal, i got groceries delivered and dropped at my door step so we had food (even though we couldnt taste it 😭) and watched movies on disney and Netflix for about a week. Read books, let them color if theyre feeling up to it. If they want to play when they feel better but are still isolating then i put toys in the bath and let them splash around, and really encourage nap time ! Sleep is gonna be your saving grace! Good luck 💕
