should i be concerned?
my son was born 5/10/19. so he’s 16 months. I am concerned with his development although everyone around us tells me not to be. I know you shouldn’t compare children, but I’ve also studied early childhood development at a point in time. but anyway, he doesn’t speak, at all, just some ahhh, thaaa, & saaaa eeeee. he doesn’t wave at anyone, not point at anything. he points his finger to poke the other one. he claps, he’ll smile at you sometimes but doesn’t make honest eye contact nor really pay attention to you or what you say. he runs around the house all day, but stops to tilt his head to the side before he takes off, spins in circles with his head titled. screams. doesn’t attempt utensils nor will he be fed with them, he doesn’t hug or kiss. he doesn’t try to copy me or repeat anything. he scratches everything he can. I wasn’t really around kids growing and my daughter was so different and by this age she was saying short sentences and signing. should I be concerned?
