This little boy is doing something very weird and the vet can’t figure it out. It’s like this weird hissing/gasping thing. Don’t worry, he’s just meowing in the photo.

I panicked, and I took all of them to the vet.

I showed the vet the video of the kitten doing this, and she literally has no idea what’s going on and had me send the video to her personal phone because she’s going to show it to colleagues and see if she can find something.

It’s not a constant behavior, I had to sit with him and wait for him to have a “fit” to catch it on video to show the vet. The video is posted in health and lifestyle because I wanted a large audience.

The vet said that it may be a neurological behavior but he passed the neurological test. And otherwise, he’s a very healthy normal kitten and so are the others. She said their momma is doing a good job. She said she loved seeing some healthy babies and played with them lol

My last rescue litter all died on me from pneumonia so I saw this and flew to the vet like a maniac, same day no waiting. If you think you may have an idea, I hope you check out the video. It’s so weird

They’re only 3 days old

ETA: i know the kitty flu will kill them. I tried extremely hard to save my last litter.

Fluid injections, steroid injections, syringe feeding, nebulizer treatments, antibiotics, antibiotic injections, cough and congestion meds. I did not sleep for 3 days, I was desperately trying to keep them alive.

They all still died. In my hands.

I am using the same vet who watched me go through all of that and she put these babies on antibiotics just Incase this is somehow a cough, because it’s better to knock that shit out as soon as possible with antibiotics because by the time they start showing symptoms it’s too late. The fucking kitty flu is brutal and it kills them faster than you can freaking blink. It’s a death sentence. This is why I ran my ass with 5 cats to the vet today when one made a weird sneezy sound. I’m not doing that again. They are now on antibiotics as a precaution.
