False Equivalencies and Current Events

Does anyone else think that most major news outlets have been increasingly sacrificing accuracy so they won't appear bias? The main examples I can think of is civil rights protesters, including BLM vs counter protesters. Just from reading about these events you would think they were rival softball teams or something. Civil Rights Protesters are protesting extrajudicial executions and the counter protesters want to exterminate whole populations for racial purity. 

Civil Rights Protesters have been responsible for some property damage and Counter Protesters have been responsible for killing multiple people including police officers. (Boogaloo member Steven Carrillo in California)

I had been so used to hearing false reports of Portland being on fire and rioting for months that I was genuinely surprised to find out there had been so much property damage in Kenosha. I had assumed it was like the photo shopped images of Seattle. 

*I am not talking about the current wildfires all over Oregon. I am talking about protests being described as "weeks of rioting".
