I'm sorry, I know this isn't pregnancy related but this is the most popular group to get some opinions on the issue! My mom has been having issues with her uterus, ovaries, etc. for over 5 years! She's been going to a catholic hospital for this issue all this time and it is medically necessary for her to get a hysterectomy. She has severe bleeding that continues for 2-3 weeks at a time, multiple cysts, and more. They have tried multiple measures other than the hysterectomy - which is understandable. But the issue is a month ago they informed my mom that they will not perform the hysterectomy because its not an "emergency". But this has caused my mom tremendous pain over the past few years. The question is - Does she have a case or are we completely crazy for thinking that? Just wanted some opinions before reaching out to a lawyer.
