My baby is 11 weeks old. My husband was able to stay home for 10 weeks with us which was amazing. The first few weeks he was the one who could calm him down best. We took turns during the night, baby was just fine with either of us. Around 9 weeks old, and more so this last week, he screams when my husband holds him. Playing with him he’s fine, he smiles more with him than me and loves it! But as soon as it’s nap time or bed time he just cries and cries unless I’m holding him. He stops as soon as I take him from my husband. I tried just letting him try to calm him down, but he was so hysterical I had to take him. It’s been like this daily now. He can’t even rock him to sleep at night so I get up constantly to do it. Is this just a phase?? I’m exhausted from it. My husband always offers to take him after work so I can rest, but baby is so attached to me it’s difficult. I’m sure him going back to work has thrown him off, but it was like this for about a week before too.
