Got my positive opk on the 15th and we baby danced at 4am when my husband got off work (he works nights). We didn’t get a chance to bd today, should we bd when he gets off work (morning of the 17th) just for good measure or is it pointless since it’s been more than 24 hours since my first positive opk? 🤦🏻‍♀️😅

The surge can last just a couple of hours up to a couple of days. It isnt how long the surge is that matters though when it comes to timing sex.
When you get your first positive opk youre expected to ovulate 12-36 hours later and then the egg can last up to 24 hours. So you should have sex on the day of the positive opk and then the following 2 days too

An LH surge can last a couple hours to a couple of days. It all depends, which is why it is recommended to stop testing with OPKs after your first positive. It helps avoid confusion. Typically ovulation occurs 12-36 hours after a positive OPK and it is recommended to have sex the day of your positive OPK, the day after (typically ovulation day), and the day after that just to give yourself the highest chances.
