Okay so I’ve worked as a waitress since 16. I’m 20 now. I had my first at 18 and was off for a year. I went back in September and then was laid off in March cause of coronavirus (I was pregnant with my second as well! But not very open about it at work) I haven’t been back since I gave birth a few weeks ago. It’s a small town so I have lots of regulars who I love dearly. We really don’t meet new people, usually only in the summer as were tourism town. So here’s my problem. I’ve been stalked by two old men at work in the whole four years. One of them has passed away in an accident. The other is in Washington now (or so he told me he was going last time I saw him) anyways. So today an older man went to my work looking for me, wanting my address. He told my boss he had spoken to me about horseback riding and wanted to talk to me about it. That he had met me multiple times at work and thought i was super nice blah blah. She obviously wouldn’t tell him. So he ended up finding my in laws house. They live a few blocks away. He told my mil the same thing and acted surprised that I had a baby (even though he would’ve known I was pregnant since he said he met me right before coronavirus started? And I was 5 months at that point.) he asked if I was married and some other stuff. He was writing down stuff she was saying in his phone on his notes. So my mil basically told him I live with her and to fuck off. He insisted it was all innocent and he just wanted to take me horse back riding. He said his name was jerry. He left after she told him I was at an appointment. So this is the thing. I don’t remember a jerry. I don’t remember talking to any man about horse back riding. Sure I could’ve maybe? I don’t think I have ever talked about it as I don’t even ride. And if I see a customer more than once, I remember them 100%. My boss has never seen him in her life and we both usually work the same shifts together. Also it’s not even tourist season and there’s a pandemic so if he was a tourist why we he go out of his way to come here now? So yeah he thinks I live at my mils which is fine. But I’m really worried. Especially given the past of stalking I’ve had with customers. I just don’t understand who he is and why he was taking notes? Should I be worried? It’s probably innocent but I have bad anxiety. I also have a young daughter and in today’s world you just can’t be too safe. Should I report it to the police and have someone stay with me tonight just incase? My husband works nights so he’s not home.
