Biophysical profile?

Anyone else having to get these done? Never heard of it with my first pregnancy but now I get them every 2 weeks because baby didn't move at all for an NST. 😅

I have to get them done every week along with the NST. My first time going was last week and but baby wasn’t cooperating(He fell alseep) so I had to go to Triage to be monitored.

Yes I have them weekly, it’s basically to make sure everything is going well with the baby. If the baby pass the test then the chance of having a stillborn is 1 in 1000 and that’s only good for 7 days which is why you have to get it weekly

I had them weekly for a month because of IUGR concerns. He caught up, so just a growth scan next week.  They’re reassuring though!

I have had them weekly since 33 weeks and will continue to get them until I deliver. He’s passed every time but I see a high risk doc so it’s the norm. It’s standard routine to have it done at least once, but it doesn’t hurt to have them done more frequently if baby had a lazy day or something wasn’t passed. Mine are frequent specifically because he had some decelerations (3) on his very first NST
