Birth control periods?

I feel like this is a horribly stupid question, but if you bleed during your placebo week(birth control pills) my doctors told me it wasn’t your period but it was withdrawal bleeding.. so could you still bleed during that week and be pregnant?

Answer

No you can’t bleed during that week and be pregnant. The reason it’s called a withdrawal bleed is because you’re not taking the hormones you have been for the rest of the month. This causes you to bleed. As opposed to your regular period which is due to your body releasing an egg and it not being fertilized. As long as your take your birth control correctly there is a 99% chance you’re not pregnant
