Car trips

Hi ladies first time mom here. Do any of you ladies have tips or advice on how to make short trips ( grocery store, pharmacy, cleaners or bank) more manageable. My son 10.5 weeks hates being in the car where he can’t see me he cries nonstop. It doesn’t matter if the car is moving or not if I put him in his car seat and then car while he is awake he will cry until I get him out and hold him. Talking to him while driving doesn’t help calm him down. If I put him asleep he is ok until the car stops moving. he wakes up almost instantly. Can’t even pump gas without him waking up. Which has made even simple tasks very daunting. My husband is working extra so I can stay home with our son. So I can’t always wait for him to be home. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
