Name reveal??

Question

So we are about 17 weeks, we know the gender and we’ve picked a name. My husband cannot keep a secret so he’s already shared the name with a few people. I’m considering doing a cute picture announcement just to send to family so no one hears it from someone else and gets salty. Is anyone else planning to share the name before birth? When and how? If not, how are you doing keeping it to yourself?

We didn’t tell anyone our sons name before he was born. I didn’t want anyone’s opinion to sway our decision. This time around we won’t be sharing any names and we also will not be finding out the gender. Everyone is different! Do whatever you’re comfortable with :-)

My husband and I are pretty quick on agreeing on names so we knew the name before we started announcing. So when we did tell people we were pregnant we just told them the name at the same time. We had done the sneak peek gender test so we knew at 8 weeks it was a boy.

Ever since I was a little girl I already knew my girl name. So when we found out we were having a little girl everyone already knew what her name would be. But now we have to pick a middle name which seems to be harder than I thought.

I told everyone both our sons names before they were born and no one said anything negative. Usually they say they like it and that’s that. Once we find out the sex of this baby we will do the same. I have a relative that is an artist and draws a picture for every newborn with their name and nursery theme, and my MIL also quilts a blanket with the babies name. So it is well known and fine. We usually tell relatives the same time we find out the sex of the baby.

With my first baby, I messed up and put his name on the baby shower invitations. This time is going to be private because everyone around me is pregnant and due soon.

We are choosing not to tell anyone our sons name until he is born. Since most of our family & friends live quite a bit away from us & we only have limited contact with them on social media it’s been pretty easy. I have told 1 person our name & if my parents want to know, because they are doing his nursery, I will tell them too. When we found out I was pregnant my husband couldn’t hold it in & told several people before I was ready to announce, so I was nervous. But right now he hasn’t really said anything to anyone that we are having a boy.
