Why are car seats so confusing

I’m new to this no one attack me please , thanks. 
I want to get the uppababy Cruz and not the uppababy Mesa car seat. I want a car seat that will grow with them so I don’t have to buy another one. Does anyone know which car seats are adaptable that are for for than 35 lbs. cause I looked on google but all the adaptable ones are only up to 35-40 lbs and I want something that will last.

Evenflo symphony elite! The easiest car seat I’ve ever installed! And I’ve installed a lot of car seats over the years. It is also the most stable one I’ve used and so far I’ve been able to use in several different vehicles with no issues. It’s for 5-110 lbs. 40lbs rear facing. I just ordered a second one for my husbands car.

Britax One4Life! The only car seat you’ll ever need. (Unless you’re in an accident and need to replace it). Rear faces up to 49” tall and 50 lbs. Then turns to regular (5 point harness front facing), high back booster, and no back booster up to 120 lbs.

I’ve been searching as well, I found the Safety 1st Grow & Go, it lasts rear-facing until 40 lbs, forward facing until 65 lbs and then booster until 100 lbs. Always make sure you’re looking at the forward facing limits as well and not just the rear-facing.
