Rolling onto stomach to sleep?

I always put my daughter to sleep on her back but this morning when I went to pick her up she was on her tummy just babbling and lifting her head. She hasn't rolled from belly to back yet (that I have seen), so I'm wondering if I should let her sleep on her stomach if she gets there on her own, or try to check on her and turn her if I find her that way? At least until she masters the belly to back roll?

My little one doesn’t know how to roll from belly to back (she’s done it three times).  But since 12 weeks she couldn’t roll to her tummy.  It’s instinct now for her! I put her on her back and she rolls.

I've heard that if they can put themselves their, they can stay. However, I wouldn't until she can roll back woth ease. I just started to let my LO sleep on her belly and she has been rolling for a month.

My boy does the same, however he gets pissed once he is on his stomach while trying to sleep. 😫 if they can roll on their tummies themselves and can lift their head, they will be fine 😊

I've always heard if they can get on that position they can stay in that position. Especially if she has the heck control to lift her head and move it around

If baby can hold their head up when they do tummy time and they roll on their own then it’s fine to let them sleep on their belly. Will usually learn to go from belly to back eventually. My pediatrician gave me the go ahead and I’m in the same situation, but luckily, my son sleeps way better on his belly so we’ve all been getting more sleep. You just need to make sure that you put them down initially on their back. They can roll over on their own by choice but we have to put them down on their back to go to bed.
