Thinking about switching to a menstrual cup but confused...

Question

So like if you're out and about and need to change or I guess empty...do you gotta rinse it out? Like that just seems kinda gross to be rinsing it in the sink of a restaurant or something.

Usually mine lasts at least 8 hours so I don't mess with it when I'm out and about. The few times I've had to, I just poured it out in the toilet and put it back in. When I'm at home, I rinse it every time though. Mine gets stained if it isn't rinsed every time (because it's a clear plastic), but it's still perfectly fine to keep using it. I will NEVER go back to tampons or pads though. I no longer get a UTI every month after my period!! No more itchy vagina from plastic pads rubbing all day and night or from synthetic crap jammed up into it. Blech. I'm more comfortable , I'm saving money, I'm healthier, and it's better for the environment. Win win win win.
