Iron deficiency???

So lately I’ve been feeling so weak,dizzy, and light headed. I drink a lot of water it’s all I really drink but it doesn’t seem to help. I mentioned to my mom how I was feeling and she said I could have anemia (she had it with my brother). Does anyone have anemia, how did you know you had it? And when did you call your doctor??

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and found out I was anemic at 12 weeks. I was feeling dizzy and fatigued. A simple blood test told me I was very anemic and I take an iron supplement 3 times a day, plus my prenatal. My levels are still low even with the supplement, but I have less dizzy spells.

I’m anemic outside of pregnancy and get away without taking iron supplements. But being pregnant now I’m taking 84mg of iron cause of carrying two babies I need a lot of help. I know I was okay with taking a prenatal with extra iron in it but this time, I’ve had to keep upping it or I’m lathergic and so weak to do anything. 
I would take to your doctor, they can put you on a supplement for iron. I just buy mine at Walmart.

I have similar symptoms. My doctor suggested i eat snacks throughout the day because it may be that I’m getting to hungry or my blood sugar is dropping. That has been helping recently

I had pregnancy induced anemia but since it was my first pregnancy I thought all my symptoms were normal then I had heart palpitations and was scared .. blood work showed I had anemia so I took irons and drank orange juice and was fine . Doing the same with this pregnancy... I’m fine so far tell the ob.

If you're drinking lots of water, then I'd mention your symptoms to your doctor and see if they'd recommend a simple blood test to check your iron levels.
In the meantime, drinking too much water can deplete your electrolytes, so try sipping on some Gatorade or coconut water to see if that helps.
I have low iron while pregnant, so I just take a simple over the counter iron supplement called Ferous Sulfate as suggested by my doctor.

I'm not anemic but was on the low level of normal but it's just a simple blood test to tell your iron level. If you don't have an appointment soon then maybe just give your doctor a call and ask about it.
