Has anyone stopped night feeds cold turkey?

My baby is 6 months and every once in awhile he doesn’t wake up for a night feed but most of the times he does but I don’t think he’s actually hungry, he wakes up crying but only eats a couple oz then falls asleep. We are going to sleep train but I wanted to see if anyone else just stopped night feeds like that?
He’s well above average weight

No. I feed even 1-2oz if they wake up and can’t be soothed back to sleep with a pacifier or something. I try diaper change and pacifier first then offer bottle. I won’t cut them off from that.

My Pediater said no feeding from 12-6am so I never did it and babies slept thru the night..

Have you tried dream feeding? 
My little boy is 6 months and we started dream feeding about 2 months ago. He has his bedtime routine and bottle at 7, he's in bed for 7.30pm. I then have a bottle ready for him at 10.30pm, take him out of his cot (still asleep) change his nappy and feed him his bottle. He will take around 4-5oz and be back in bed for 11pm. He then sleeps through until 7am.
Worth a shot if youre not a fan of cold turkey.  There are some nights where he refuses the dream feed, and on those nights he will wake around 4.30am. But they're few and far between, I think in the two months we have been doing it he has had maybe 3-4 4.30am wake ups.

We did. Took 3 nights and after that she never woke up for milk again.
