C-section drainage?

I had my c-section on the 12th and 2 days ago I noticed one of my stitches leaking fluid. It looks like watery blood. I called my OB about it and he said that it was normal and to just put some gauze it to keep it dry until it heals. It doesn’t have a smell and the color is lighter than blood. Has anyone else experience this? And how long did it take to stop? I will say that I retained a lot of fluid from my delivery and my legs and feet are still recovering from the swelling.

This could be called a seroma. Google it and see if it sounds similar. I had one with my first section in 2016. What I was instructed to do was shower daily and gentle wash with gentle soap, pat dry, and then I attached a thin pad to front of my underwear to collect any leaking fluid. I did have my family doctor check on it during baby we’ll visits and it cleared up and sealed up within 2 wks!

This happened my first Csection and if you had a lot of swelling it happens. Just keep it as clean as possible and it heals on its own but if it starts to smell weird go in ASAP

I had this as well— I’m 3 weeks post surgery. 
My Dr told me to use gauze and dan it twice a day with hydrogen peroxide then let it air dry. I’ve been doing that for the last week and just had an appt today to get it checked and the dr said it looks much better. Might be worth a try.
