That’s not how child support works in most states.  It takes into account the income of both parents so that the child can have a similar lifestyle at both households.  So if dad makes 2-3x’s as much as mom, he’ll definitely be paying, same if it were the other way around.

No. Is the mom gonna pay child support to him too? Doesnt make sense. They have equal time and equal responsibility. No need for him to have to pay just because he is the dad. He is doing his duty already.
