Is night sleep just a fantasy?

My LO is a little over 3 weeks old, exclusively breastfed, and wakes every 3 hours at night to feed. That is fine/normal of course, except for the fact that it takes 1-1.5 hours to get her to go back to sleep. So I am in bed from 9pm-6am, but am up with her for 2-4 hours total during that time between diaper change, feed, rock back to sleep. That leaves me getting about 4-5 hours of broken sleep.

I’m a third time mom and have now gone through this with all of them so I’m pretty convinced that waking for night feedings and simply putting them back in the bassinet is something that only happens in fantasy land. Please let me know if this is completely normal or if I am missing some secret step to make her fall asleep! This lasted over 6 months with my first two so I guess I was just hoping I would get a better sleeper this time around.
