Reflux babies Pepcid? Crushed tablets?

How did your little one take pepcid? My pediatrician wants me to buy the dissolvable over the counter ones and crush it to give it to her. Is this normal?

Are you the same person that posted a day or so about the 8 week old give or take? At that age it is not recommended or safe . They can prescribe it in a liquid form. One is hard to tell what dosage you are giving from a crushed pill. Secondly even crushed it turns into a powder and and can cake up an become a choking hazard. 
If your not the same person how old is your little one?

Why won’t your pediatrician just prescribe you a medication meant for babies? My daughters reflux meds are liquid and we just draw it up in a syringe and give it that way. Crushing up tablets to give to a baby seems incredibly dangerous and I have a hard time believing any doctor would recommend that.

Call your local pharmacy and speak to the pharmacist. My son is almost 5wk and his pediatrician just called in Pepcid for him. Our local Walgreens confirmed they have the liquid in stock.

NO a tablet form of medication for infants let alone a newborn!!!!
