Not sure what to do?

Question

Went in for a regular check up today and my BP was 130/84. I was frantic getting there in time so that might be why it was elevated. 
They did it again and it was still a bit high, but my HB was 122 (the second reading was after they told me about being induced) 
The Dr recommended to schedule an induction for this Sunday and have the baby by Monday. 
We did blood work and an US today. US came back normal and I’m waiting on the blood results. 
I don’t know what to do and I’m HELLA nervous about having the baby. I’m currently 38 + 3.
Dr said I was on the cusp on preeclampsia, but also mentioned an induction last week when I went in because she said I looked miserable. 
I’m not dilated at all and have no “symptoms” of labor. 
This is also not my usual Dr as she just had a baby a few weeks ago... so I don’t really know her very well and I feel like I’m just being penciled in to get me off of her schedule. 
I don’t want to do the wrong thing for myself or my baby and I’m just worried.

Thats odd to jump to induction and say your on the cusp of pre e. Sometimes blood pressure can be elevated and its normal! It if is consistent along eith protien in urine or headaches blurred vision etc then i would worry. It kinda spunds like the doctor is jumping to conclusions

Bp isn't even considered high unless it's above 140/90 at my OBs office

Don’t let her pressure you!! If you are uncomfortable with her decision then speak up and hold your ground! Could have been a off day and simple as that. Is there crazy swelling going on too? You know ur body and how you feel best. So stick with your gut.

Seems odd to jump to that...my BP has been 140-145/85-95 the last two times I’ve been to see my OB and they haven’t said much about it...

I’m being induced at 38 weeks because I’ve been consistently in the high 130s/ low 140s and we’ve done extensive tests to make sure it’s not preeclampsia. I get annoyed bc I have white coat syndrome and it’s always higher with a doctor.... but it’s been ljke that for a while... this wasn’t just a one time thing and decision.

Seems odd to make that jump too. I’d have asked for an additional BP reading before leaving. If you are uncomfortable it’s always ok to ask for more explanation of your various options and the potential issues with any of them etc.

Mine was reading like that two weeks ago but by next appointment was actually low for me. Just try to rest and stay as calm as you can. Call if you get a bad headache or blurry vision/swelling.

One “elevated” reading shouldn’t mean that you need to be induced. Usually 3 readings and then they would induce. And that is not a high bp at all! Trust your gut. If you’re ready for the baby now then go for it but if you want to wait then I would tell them that.
