Is daycare necessary?

Everyone keeps telling me I need to put my son in daycare when he's a year old or else he'll be poorly socialized. My husband and i both work full time but hours that allow one of us to always be with him.

So we don't NEED to. We see plenty of family, socially distant and with all the precautions of course, so it's not like he NEVER experiences other people. What do you think?
