Will only nursing at night dry up my milk supply?

My baby is 5 weeks and I give him formula throughout the day and nurse at night and I’m doing this because I’m returning to work in about 2 weeks . Will  part time nursing dry up my supply ? Im thinking about nursing in the morning as well . I don’t like pumping it takes so much time to have to do it every few hours and with my toddler it’s a lot lol . Any experiences?

It won’t dry up your milk completely. Your body will adjust and still produce the amount needed at night, and much less throughout the day.

Breastfeeding is supply and demand. So if you demand less ?
(I.e. only nurse at night) then yes, your supply will drop. Pumping is a lot of work-/ I use my handheld pump a lot because it’s way easier to clean and set up. We combo feed and mix breastmilk with formula and it’s been great for my mental health.

Just cause you’re returning to work doesn’t mean you can breastfeed throughout the day. It is law that the employer has to provide a private room that’s not a bathroom and a appropriate amount of times to pump throughout the day. 
Breastfeeding is supply and demand. If only nursing at night then you might make enough for that or still start to make none at all.

My son breastfed only at night for two months before I decided to stop cold turkey. My milk supply lessened but I never dried up 🤷🏽‍♀️
