Stopped eating solids. HELP!
So 1st time mom. My son will be 1 year on October 3rd.
Back story: he started eating solids around 5 months (Dr okayed). At around 6 months I was furloughed from my position at work and was working from home part time. He then transitioned to the thicker solids when he was 9 1/2 months (Dr okayed). By 10 months he was eating some finger foods. And basically ANYTHING off my plate.Around this same time I started back at work. He then went to mom working full time 7:30-4, and dad in clinical rounds from 7-330. So Sunday nights through Wednesdays he stays with his great aunt at her house. Then Thursday and Fridays we have a babysitter come to our home (PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE. IT HAD TO BE LIKE THIS FOR NOW...)Anyway throughout all of this he has ONLY had the bottle with formula at night time. He still wakes during the night too to eat. He has never had the bottle during the day, even before naps.
My point: during this past week he has been refusing the spoon and foods. He will eat some finger foods for me and eat the solids (smoosh) for me as well. However- for no one else at all. I added in the environmental stuff as well since I believe in nature and nurture.
By the time I am home (due to Boston traffic) it is usually around 4:45-5. He will maybe eat once if he didnt eat before i got home. Otherwise I wouldn't feed him until bed time, which is a bottle.
Is this normal behavior? He will only take the bottle now. His great aunt and babysitter are worried about him not eating during the day, so give him the bottle. Which personally I think enforces the behavior....but I would like your views as well...i don't know what to do.
