Hi everyone so I have some questions possible trigger warning I’m 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant got my first ultrasound today and we seen baby and the heart beat and my dr is referring me to the mfm so I can be seen at the hospital for my future appointments I’ve had two second trimester losses to pprom at 20 and 17 weeks I asked about progesterone and cerclage today and they said I will speak with the mfm about it and that progesterone doesn’t start until 16 weeks with makena and they will do vagina ultrasounds weekly starting at 16 weeks as well and that cerclages don’t stop dilating they just stop infections from entering the cervix so I’m so confused I’m hoping I will see the mfm soon because I want all the preventative care even if I’m paying out of pocket because I see women on here getting progesterone at 6 weeks

When I asked how were supposed to stop dilation and she said they just will have to monitor me closely there no sure way to stop it
