What kind of crib mattress are your LO using?

My LO is using the safety 1st mattress since he was 6months and doesn’t seem to like it or get comfortable.. after another 8 months he still prefers my bed... my bed is more squishy, and the safety 1st mattress seems more firm and hard. Any advice? Or suggestions?

We put a memory foam topper on his mattress and he loves it.
