Faint line negative at doctors

On Sunday night I took a pregnancy test and to my surprise there was the faintest blue line! I took one again Monday morning and same thing a very faint line. I called the advice nurse and they told me I could run over and take a urine sample and get results later that night. I got the results and they came back negative. I was so upset my husband and I had actually let our guard down and got excited. Everything I read said even if it’s a very faint line normally always means it’s positive. After doing some re search I learned that if I’m early on, the pregnancy test at the doctors could of not caught it. Has anyone had this happen? I plan to test again in a week but it’s killing me. I hate that I let myself get excited just to get another negative.
