Overthinking?

So I’m 18 and my boyfriend is 19. We’ve been together for over 4 years now. When I was 17 he kept talking about how much he wanted to marry me and how once I turn 18 we were going to get married. Now that I’m 18 it’s like that all changed. He doesn’t talk much of it. When I bring it up (I don’t do it often bc there’s no reason) he makes some lame excuse saying how he can’t. 
One excuse was is his sister is getting married this year and him also getting married this year will be too much on his parents which didn’t make sense. Should I be worried in any way that he doesn’t want to get married anymore? Or am I overthinking? I just don’t want this relationship to end bc I’ve put my all and I love him so much. But the thing is he does so much for me and my family so Idk if it’s just bc he’s not ready like he was before.

Honestly you guys are reallyyy young. He probably thought you guys both turning to adults and getting married was a cute idea in theory but started to look at it realistically when it got closer. Getting married is a big deal. I wouldn’t stress getting married right now

Honestly you’re under thinking this, not overthinking it. 
You’ve been dating since you were 14 which means you’ve spent 22% of your life with this person and basically 0% of your adult life with this person. 
You’ve only just met yourself as an adult. Same for him. Even if you’re bound for marriage in the future, you will be giving yourself the gift of time if you leave that marriage in the future rather than trying to make it the present. There’s so much life to discover. 
You should also educate yourself on sunk cost theory now. Having given a relationship your all is not enough of reason for it to last forever.

Don't get married that young. Promise you won't be the same person at 25 that you are at 18. I wish I could turn the clock back and tell myself that before I married my.idiot highschool boyfriend and was divorced before a year was over 💔

You both are fresh out of high school and barely legally adults. You are going to be changing into almost a different person over the next 4 years. If you're really going to be together for the long haul, there shouldn't be any rush. Especially when you're little more than kids. He's not ready yet and that's ok.

From personal experience ( literally was in your same shoes ), it’s a really young age to think of marriage. My bf when I turned 18 ( he was 19) bought me a ring and stuff too. Over time sometimes these young relationships fade away even though so much time has been devoted. I mean I’m 20 now, and that guy just became my ex a few weeks ago. Be open to better things. Dot force marriage at such a young age.

When women/girls think of marriage they think of white dress, Princesses, rainbows, having a kids and all the cute stuff. When men think of marriage they think money, expenses, is he able to provide, is he ready to be a responsible man etc etc.... women get so sensitive and take it personal when a man she is with doesn’t marry her which I just find quiet. Most cases the man delays for reasons like what I mentioned or similar and the least cases he just doesn’t want to be with her anymore. Which I don’t think is your case with him at all. 
I think this as pp mentioned he was excited for it because he loves you and the thought makes him happy but when it came to crunch he panicked because men want to feel like MEN if they can’t provide a roof, food all the stuff that comes with marriage it makes them feel less masculine (in most cases, again) 
So try not to over think it ☺️
