Anyone considering being a SAHM?

I’m almost 4 weeks into my 12 week maternity leave and I think I’ve pretty much decided that I don’t want to go back. 
Anyone else think they might just stay home? 
Are you afraid to tell your job you aren’t coming back? I am a little 🙈

Im currently unemployed but I am going back to work when my baby is about 6 months. I really dont like relying on my husband 😒 for money. He would pay our necessities but if I wanted something for myself he would complain too much about it. Plus I like having human interaction other than being stuck at home all the time which I am by choice now for the next year or so.

I have paid maternity leave for about 1.5 years. And I plan on saying home for 2 years bacause I am a high school teacher and it is much easier to me and students to go back in september, not in march. Or we will have another baby and I will stay longer. Or if I want to work, then husband takes the leave next time...

I’m going to stay home. The dynamic between you and your husband is the biggest factor I think. We operate better as a couple and a household if I just take care of majority of things around the house, and he focuses on his business. I didn’t enjoy my career so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. He’s also not controlling about our finances (this is also huge), he just trusts that I’m not spending an unreasonable amount of anything.

After having my third in 2018, my husband and I decided that I’d stay home. I absolutely love it don’t get me wrong, but I’m going to be really honest when I say that no one talks about how incredibly lonely being a stay at home mom is. When women say that it’s not easy, it’s TRULY not easy. Make sure you and your SO are on the same page so that he doesn’t belittle you for “only” being a SAHM.

I'll be on paid leave oct-feb. Then decide if I want to go back to work. At that point I have an additional 10 weeks of leave available and due to Covid the option of working from home. So most likely I will go back. We are hoping to have a 2nd baby, so I probably wont be back for long, lol. Once we have 2, I'll likely stay home until they are 4 or 5 years old.

I plan to stay home for a little while but once I am comfortable and have reliable child care if like to go back to work so I can help contribute to bills and so me and my SO won't struggle

I'm 40w6d pregnant, and quit my job at 30 weeks! Been staying home since and won't go back. 🎉 It's just always been something I wanted to do, stay at home, homeschool, spend as much time with my children as possible. My mom did it with 6.. surely I can do it with a few. 😅 So far it's been great! I can't wait to add our baby to the mix whenever ms slowpoke decides to get here

I had to go back after maternity leave but left maybe 5-6 months after to stay at home. Daycares are not ideal and that's being nice. If you have that option, I'd take it. You won't regret it!
