Ovarian Cysts

Hi, loves -

I was wondering if I could get some wisdom on ovarian cysts as I have had a nagging feeling that something hasn’t been quite right with me for the past few months, but the past few weeks have been so strange.

First, I started taking a combination birth control pill about five months ago to help regulate my periods and stop my fairly heavy bleeding with them. I started having this uncomfortable pressure and pain over my uterus area a few weeks ago that is mostly over my left ovary now, but kinda takes up a lot of my lower abdomen. I have some swelling over my left ovary as well and it almost feels like there’s a ball where the swelling is. It’s super noticeable when I’m standing or when I cough. I have this sharper pain and cramping in both ovaries, but mostly the left one, which I’ve never experienced before. My breasts have been a little bit sore as well, not too the touch, but this is also newer to me.

I would love some input before I make a doctor’s appointment as I have anxiety and a tendency to convince myself I’m pregnant when I know that that is not the case (I’m on the pill and my boyfriend and I also use condoms or the pull-out method). Thank you so much ♥️
