Can you still have sex if pregnant?

My partner wants to have sex while I’m pregnant I’m not sure abit it?
I don’t feel like it’s right, opinions? 
What’s the effect on bubs if any ?

Unless your doctor puts you on pelvic rest sex is perfectly safe while pregnant.

I had sex a few times after finding out I was pregnant. I went maybe 3 weeks without having sex and when I had sex again I had spotting. I feel like it's important to note that this can happen because of the changing cervix and irriation. In my second trimester, I had no issues having sex. Third trimester, I'm just too fat and not interested. I doubt I'll have sex in these last 6 weeks of my pregnancy.
