Positive induction stories? ...its tonight!

With cervadil and pitocin? Being induced tonight just past 40 weeks for a few reasons. How long did the cervadil take? Thanks!!!

I was induced yesterday with pitocin! It went so smoothly! They started the drip at like 10:30am I labored until I reached 4 cm and then I asked for the epidural. Contractions really started picking up then so I’m glad I got it when I did cause by the time the epidural was in full effect I was at 7cm! Maybe a little less than an hour later I was ready to push and I pushed her out in 5 pushes and 4:30 on the dot that evening. So the whole thing was 6 hours!

I had the cervidil when I was induced a month ago. I had it put in at 6pm and was dilated to a 1 by 6am. It started my labor, because by 10am I was dilated to 3 and contracting on my own before they started pitocin. I had my baby by 6pm that evening.

I had 2 rounds of cervidil. First round was 12hrs and it did nothing. Had 8hrs of pitocin and then another 10hr round of cervidil and it still did nothing so they had to place a foley balloon. Foley balloon hurt like a 🤬 but it worked and got me dilated enough for the pitocin to start working. 
My induction started Friday night and I gave birth Monday. Hope yours is quicker !!!

Was induced with cervadil. Inserted at around 2am I was 1cm and 50%. went to sleep till about 630-7. Regular contractions started around 845am, water broke at 942am and I was 4cm. Baby boy born at 1044am. But fast labors run in my family.

I’ve had 2 good inductions!
It will go fine. Just be open minded and the plan may change as your body starts the meds. So try to go with the flow. 
Think about being open to pain management since the process goes faster it can be more painful. If you do want an epidural ask early or as soon as you start thinking about it because sometimes it takes a while for the anesthesiologists to get to you.  Ask for the peanut ball afterwards. It helps move things along.  
My first was about 25hrs. Cervadul overnight (sleep as much as you can). Cyotec in morning, my water broke on its own. Epidural. And pitocin at the very end to push the contractions the last little bit. 
My second (sept 2020 baby)- 8hrs or so. I was too dialated for cervadil and balloon, skipped right to pitocin. Then epidural. Doc broke my waters. Then it Went fast.

With my first induction they used cervadil. It’s a ribbon type medicine they put in you. It didn’t work for me. They put in the night I went in and by the morning I had not dilated any. However I ended up having a relatively quick induction anyway after they started the pitocin. This time they did cytotec and it worked very quickly. I had a very easy birth with both inductions and 10/10 would recommend
