So any of y’all doing radiology technology?

Question

I’m curious on how y’all did it. I went to school and I have my pre req’s, however the program is so damn competitive that I haven’t been able to get in. I’m thinking of going a different route & getting an associates degree so I can do the program at a tech school. Have any of y’all gone to a tech school for it?

Answer

I’m a sonographer and a lot of people who do ultrasound are RT’s, or were. In my area they start at about $20 an hour and will probably do per diem or moonlighting/nights etc. most people I know started in a hospital but obviously there are clinic jobs. I don’t think there’s a ton of room for growth (unless you go management/teaching route) but you can always cross train into CT or MRI.
