Feel good news or dystopian nightmare

I stumbled across this and thought about it a lot tbh. I’ve seen other posts similar including people crowd surfing to pay their insulin, kids donating their entire earnings for a lemonade stand to pay for their teachers chemo, other “feel good” stories that honestly shouldn’t be happening. I think it’s interesting because on one hand people are able to showcase their extreme bouts of altruism and human connectedness but on the other hand it’s almost always tied to healthcare and capitalism that’s specific to the US experience.

Thoughts?

Does reading these stories make you happy, cringe, bit of both or a completely separate emotion?
