Is this considered a butterfly rash?
I know the stickers are goofy in the pic, but I don’t want to be recognized lol.
My face kinda burns on my cheeks and my nose feels a bit warm. It flares up usually after doing laundry or taking a shower. Although the rest of me is freezing. No fever.
Reason I am asking, is because my doctor says I have symptoms of Lupus. Waiting on them to call me back, and I’ve called them several times unsure what’s going on, but my doctor asked me if I had a rash, and I didn’t think anything of the burning and redness on my cheeks/nose I get sometimes, plus I thought she meant like a poison ivy type of rash. So I told her no.
I looked up lupus symptoms and the first thing I saw that was a symptom was the butterfly rash. Along with cold intolerance.(I get sooo irritated when I’m cold, and everyone else is either fine or hot when I’m freezing. It’s extremely frustrating.) well, then it hit me, that I get the burning skin sensation on my cheeks sometimes so idk. Here’s a picture, although my camera lightened the photo a little, my cheeks were a little bit more red than that:
Is that what a butterfly rash is? Like burning/stinging/redness of cheeks? Or does a butterfly rash itch and cause blisters?
Sorry, I know you all aren’t doctors but I’m sure someone has or knows someone who has lupus. I’d ask my doctor but she’s not returning my calls or messages.
