Did you bleed when you lost your virginity?

I'm curious because I know it's a myth but i really did bleed.

It’s not a myth but it doesn’t always happen that way. Theoretically, the hymen breaks when a penis enters the vagina for the first time, causing it to bleed. The hymen could break in other ways though so it doesn’t happen for everyone.

No but there was a lot of fluid, I bled with the second person I had sex with though because I wasn’t comfortable and really didn’t want to but I felt forced into it

I’ve played sports my whole life and all through college. Ive been thrown all over the place, so i thought for sure i wouldn’t bleed when I lost mine. Boy was I wrong😂 he started on top and when we tried to switch positions it felt like the scene from the shining. I just hovered over him i felt so bad. It was all over my legs, all over his chest, we just looked at each other and said “I think we should stop.” Totally healthy for me I guess. We’re dating now and have been for the past 3 years. Didn’t freak him out enough I guess!

It’s not a myth, it’s just circumstantial. Lots of pre-stretching (either sexually, with use of a cup or tampon, or due to sports or something) can cause no bleeding. It’s not an actual layer of skin that covers the whole area- there’s already a hole in it. So like most things I’d stretched slowly there’s no blood.
