I need to go shopping for new bras because mine are like 2 sizes too small. My dad wants me to go with his girlfriend because he knows that I don’t like her (she was fine before, then she became an alcoholic and insulted everything I stood for so I don’t trust her or respect her anymore). And while I didn’t want to go with her, I said i would because I’d rather not cause more problems.

But the day we were supposed to go she started drinking again so we didn’t go. My dad wants me to go with her this Wednesday but I really don’t feel safe getting into a car with her. As a 51 year old woman she isn’t responsible enough to keep herself from drinking when she knows she’s an alcoholic and needs to stay away.

I just don’t want to be forced into the car with her when I don’t know if she is gonna be sober or not, I’ve seen her drive drunk and she was swerving across two lanes.....

Why is my dad defending her?
