Anyone else have a super cautious kid? She gets freaked out by strangers and the sound of cars. She always insists on being buckled into her stroller or booster seat.

My October baby doesn’t just have stranger danger - she won’t talk to or look at anybody who isn’t my immediate family. We’re super close with my side of the family, so it makes sense, but they have the same people at their house every time we go over and she still doesn’t want anything to do with them. My great grandpa has been pretty involved since day one - even coming to visit in the hospital - and she literally just started talking to him this weekend.
He’s been bringing her Cheerios for the last year at least once per week, so it’s about time! Lol

Sometimes I wish mine had any kind of fear lol. Naw he climbs onto the back of the couch and jumps off among other scary things 🤦‍♀️

For the first time yesterday my daughter was immediately friendly with a stranger because she asked our photographer to pick her up as a car went by. I think the car scared her more than the idea of someone she didn't know. But when we go to the store if we don't buckle her into the car she tells me to "fix it" however she hates being buckled into the car seat. So she probably picks and chooses. I had to show her the garbage truck one week because the sound of it would make her cry, now its not as bad but sometimes it will still surprise her.

He’s ok with strangers (as long as they aren’t too in his face) and noises but he does not take any physical risks. Like he won’t go down the slide without someone there to guide him, he won’t climb up on things unless someone is standing next to him, he also likes someone to walk behind him on the stairs, etc. At least I know he’s not going to run off/jump off things and hurt himself 🙂

My daughter 100% does not do strangers and she also prefers her buckles buckled but I think it’s from routine.

My daughter isn’t freaked out by objects, but 100% by people. She’s been that way since she was a baby though- does not like ANYONE but myself and my husband.
