Does progesterone supplements delay period?

So I was taking progesterone during the TWW stopped at about 12dpo as I knew I wasn’t pregnant. Now I’m 2 days late for my period. 
I heard progesterone delays period but not sure if that’s actually the case?

Yes, progesterone stops your period. You won’t start a period while you’re on it. I also take progesterone and my doctor has be taken it starting 4 DPO and then I take a pregnancy test around when I would expect my period to be due. If it’s negative, I stop the progesterone. And I usually bleed within 2-3 days but I know it can take up to 7.

Yes it delayed mine. My doctor told me to stop on predicted day. So my last supplement was oct 2. Period didn’t show up until October 6
