Should my mom go see her doctor?
So, my mom was diagnosed with low grade CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) a few months ago. Her doctor didn’t seem too concerned because it’s a very slow growing leukemia & she doesn’t need treatment at this time. Before she got diagnosed with it, she had no symptoms & they found it from a routine physical.
However, yesterday she found that she had a bruise in the middle of her arm, right where it bends. The bruise doesn’t hurt, it’s red & it seemed like a weird place to have a bruise. I googled where a bruise can come from, if it doesn’t come from something hitting you, or you bumping into anything. The first thing that popped up was leukemia, especially if the bruise doesn’t hurt or go away in 2 weeks. I started to worry because now I’m thinking she’s starting to get symptoms.
So, my question is, should she go see her doctor right away to check it out? Do you think the condition is starting to get worse because she is starting to bruise? I’m just very scared & concerned & I don’t want to worry her, but I want to make sure we’re doing everything we can to keep her healthy.
