Landlord selling property while we are on a 2 year lease?!

This is super uncomfortable and we aren’t ready to move at all.. been here for 90 days and signed a 2 year lease!!!! And he keeps asking us to move out basically when I’m due in December!!!!! Has anyone went through this its so scary..

Speak with a real estate lawyer. If he sells the property, I believe the new owner will have to honor the lease as part of the contingency. I wouldn’t move. Tell him that you have a contract and unless he plans to give you all moving expenses, and financial compensation for the breach of contract, you’re staying through the term of the lease. I’d also speak with the local health department about the quarantine issue. There should be protection in place for you.

Our landlord just sold the house we rent as well. Legally they have to honor your lease and cannot force you out.

My old landlord was selling the house 4 months before our lease was done and we stayed because he couldn't legally force us out due to the contract but he did send an eviction notice for when the lease ended which was dumb. I would contact your realtor or a lawyer since you do have a signed 2 year lease and cannot force you out till that lease is done with.

Mmmm yeah agree that you need to talk to a lawyer, as it isn’t clear what the law is here. I believe it could go either way that a sale might void your contract, or they new o bee may have to honor it.
