Where does the mother of the groom/groom dance go in a wedding?

Just mildly curious. I already figured it was just kind of thrown in but my MIL asked if she could have the LAST dance of the night for just her and my husband... keep in mind my husband and her don’t have the best relationship and I’m definitely not opposed to them dancing together or anything but the last dance? I always thought that was for the bride and groom? I’ve only been to one wedding and there wasn’t even a designated “mother of the groom/groom dance”. I’m not afraid to tell her no but just curious if you guys have seen different.

I'd start with father/bride, then have the groom ask to step in, then after your first dance, have the MIL step in. Idk how it's supposed to go, but that makes sense to me.

There’s no set way to have the order. The let wedding I was at did bride/groom, bride/dad, then groom/mom

I've never once heard of a mother of the groom and groom dance. Only bride and father of the bride. It should be up to your husband if that even happens first of all. If it does, I'd just do it at the same time as the father of the bride/bride dance.

Whenever you want it to be! 
We didn't have a traditional wedding, we didn't have a dance floor, ect. 
But when I danced with my dad my husband danced with his mom just to make it easier.

Normally with the wedding I have been to it’s after the bride dances with her dad. I always thought the last dance was for the new mr and Mrs I wouldn’t be willing to give that up to her.
