I've always taken my vitamins before bed and it has never affected my fasting #s. If you don't already, I would suggest a whole food vitamin. I use to get sick when taking my vitamins but switched to whole food and it made a world of difference.
Fasting #s and prenatal vitamins
Ladies: I was curious. I take my prenatal vitamins right before bed because otherwise I get sick. And I’m following the rules about adding protein to my pre-bedtime snack...and I’ve seen others struggle with fasting #s.
I found one study (only 8 women though) and another pregnancy site post by someone who tried it out and their #s are higher on days they take their vitamins before bed and lower when they skipped. So they changed to take them in the morning.
I’m going to give a try over the weekend myself to take them in the AM after breakfast to see if I get sick and if the fasting #s. Anyone else around here try this??
