How soon did you stop having periods with Mirena?

Just curiosity, mostly! I just had the lightest, shortest period of my life (maybe 12 hours of actual bleeding, only one tampon, now just the light end of period stuff) (I still had all the moodiness and some definite cramps, though 😅) and I’ve only had the Mirena for five months. I know it’s normal to lose your periods with Mirena, but I had a pretty heavy period before, and I didn’t expect it to be this quick! Totally okay with it, though 😂

They never stopped for me and I’m two years in. I’ve never skipped a period, on and off birth control, so I didn’t have high hopes I’d be lucky enough to stop having periods. At this point they may get shorter and lighter than they already are, but there are some factors that make me think it’ll stay the same until removal. Being around someone with natural cycles 24/7 makes my periods longer. When this person is gone for a few weeks, my period is almost nonexistent. It’s annoying cause I could be enjoying 2 day or less periods, but I digress.
