Painful ovulation with Paraguard

After I had my son I had a Paraguard IUD put in. I got my period back at 6 months postpartum. Every single month like clockwork I start cramping a little the day before I ovulate. The day that I ovulate the cramping really ramps up and is pretty painful for about an hour (always on the left side). I’ve been to the doctor and they said my IUD placement is fine and they did a US to be safe to see if I had anything going on but the results came back normal. Idk if the ovulation pain is related to my IUD or what but I don’t like it. Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar??
