Estrogen priming

Hi, so I had my last retrieval and came out with no embryos to freeze. Today I had a virtual consult with my “new” dr (current dr is out on medical leave). I was told the results they saw in my previous cycle is what is expected in a woman over 40, not a 29 yr old with good amh (literally about to turn 30). She mentioned using poor responding protocols, particularly estrogen priming. What is your experience with this? How are the side effects different from just menopur and gonal?

*i have a balanced translocation. First retrieval was 14, 10 mature, 7 fertilized, 1 at 6 day blast, 0 with pgt
