Maternity clothes?

When did you first have to buy maternity clothes? I’m a FTM, 23 weeks and a little overweight and I’m just now feeling my clothes getting tight, especially while sitting down. I feel like I should be in them already.

During my first pregnancy I was so bloated I started wearing maternity leggings around 8 weeks. With this pregnancy I used the hair tie trick until I was around 25 weeks. I just now ordered some maternity leggings and some oversized sweaters (28 weeks).

My first pregnancy around 14wks I started leaving my pants undone and wearing a belly band that covered it up and it had a silicon stripe to hold my pants up.
By 18wks I was wearing maternity pants. Maternity pants are SO comfortable I wore them after baby was born

Never did with either pregnancy. I just wore stretchy clothes.. but I’m pretty small so I can get away with it lol

Around 25-28 weeks I started just to be more comfortable. Could still fit my own clothes though.

Shorts I needed the hair tie trick or maternity by 14 weeks, I was showing a little bit have carried lots of fluid this whole pregnancy. I didn’t need pregnancy shirts until about 20 weeks. 31 weeks now and my maternity clothes are getting tight 😂

Also 23 wks, FTM and was plus size before falling pregnant. I’m still wearing the same clothes I was before and like you, only now starting to feel a little tight when I’m sitting!! I’ve just bought a size bigger in ordinary trousers for now!

Not maternity clothes, but I had to start wearing items with a bit more stretch at like 14 weeks due to comfort. It was mainly just bloat. Now at almost 20 weeks I only have one pair of jeans that fits, even more work pants I can’t wear as I feel like I can’t breath, and only 1 skirt I can wear. I finally broke down and ordered a few maternity items bc I need more clothes to wear and I can only fit into maybe half of my normal clothes
