How do adults make friends? 😂

Weird and silly question I'm sure...and not sure where to post this so I'm really sorry if it's the wrong group.
But I'm genuinely curious.
I just turned 23 and I live with my husband who is my built in best friend but we all know that's not always enough, even if I love him with my whole being. We are trying for baby #1! I don't have a job cause I am finishing up school (last semester!!) and his job sustains us, at least for now. Lol
I have like 2 people I talk to regulalry online that I consider my friends. One is busy a lot so that makes it 1. 😂 
Covid is a thing now too...so like I can't really meet up with anyone.
So yeah, how does one make friends when they are a married person? Lol

I’ve yet to figure this out! I’m a sahm I don’t have social media and I just dont have friends and I have no clue if I ever will because I don’t know id make any 🤦‍♀️

No idea. I’m 30 and my two friends are women I grew up with. There are mom friend apps though so you could find other local moms to be friends with once you have kids.

When you are an adult the definition of friendship is very different than your younger years. You'll never really have someone super close unless you already grew up with them, are family or family friends. You'll have acquaintances that you can meet through many different activities like clubs, organizations or churches. Acquaintances are people who you have a lot in common, can provide companionship and you can have fun with, but at the end of the day, they are adults too and will have priorities. It's okay to have 1 friend! And it's also okay to try to meet others with common interests.

To me school and work are the places I met  all my friends. But their are other places you could maybe meet people in organized activity for new moms or not (book club, yoga, church or wtv).

I texted my husband this question and this was his response lol but it is very true, most of my friends I’ve made through hobbies but none of them stay friends outside of the hobby :/ but for the most part most people in their 20-30s are to busy trying to get their life on track to make friends 🤣🤣
