When do swaddle your LO

Question

Do you swaddle your baby before you rock him to bed or after he falls asleep? I always swaddle my baby after he falls asleep and sometimes he wakes up from it so I’m wondering if I have been doing it right ? Lol.

I swaddle to help my baby fall asleep. So if my baby was going to sleep without swaddling, I wouldn’t do it at all lol.

For us it was never. Our child HATED being swaddled. Couldn't stand hands contained and likes feet be be free. Even now at 20 months will not have blankets over her feet or hands. If your baby allows it do it when you want..is they fight it throw the white flag lol. My sister liked sleep sacks better than swaddle...her kids were iffy on swaddling too. Sleep sack was great for her kids. She did bed routine, baby in sleep sack and they were out. I envy that haha.
